The Match Reports for this team are as follows:
Bristol Division 1
Priory Junior FC 0 Stoke Lane 3
Sunday, 06 December 2009
On a heavy pitch, both sides played out a fair and well mannered game. Despite creating more chances than they had all season, Priory found themselves 2 goals down at half time, thanks in the main to some poor defending and some terrific goal keeping form Stoke Lane. As Priory continued to push in the second half, they made enough chances to come back into the game, but were unable to finish! Stoke Lane scored a third and that secured the game for them. Alternative stoke lane tavelled to priory yesterday with a basic 11 man depleted team due to sickness, and xmas over indulgance. The team started brightly and soaked up a lot of pressure on a pitch that was heavy under foot. Mike (the cat) Perham keep out an inital number of shots with excellent saves early on. Tom Osbourne got his first goal of the season in the 20th minute and Tom murray made it 2 - 0 just before half time. The second 1/2 saw priory come out fighting and wave after wave was stopped by a solid stoke lane defence and an outstanding in form keeper Mike (the cat) Perham. Tom Murray made the most of an attacking priory team by breaking clear through a high defensive line and finishing off to get his second and stoke lanes 3rd
final score 0 - 3 to stoke lane man of the match Mike (the cat ) Perham
